Master in Environment

Master in Environment is a Masters program taught at Zayed University, UAE. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 Semesters (On Average)) options.

The Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability Sciences at Zayed University is a graduate program focused on environmental sciences and sustainability planning. Students study environmental courses such as Environmental Sciences and Ecosystem Analysis, Sustainability Planning and Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Liquid and Solid Waste Management, Experimental Design and Data Analysis in Natural Sciences, and Contemporary Issues in Sustainability and Environmental Technology Seminar, culminating in ENV699 Thesis in Environmental Science and Sustainability.

Teaching is delivered in English over 4 semesters. Face-to-face classes are generally scheduled in the evenings (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM), and laboratory sessions are also offered face-to-face in the evenings. The curriculum includes 26 credit hours of required courses and 10 credit hours of prescribed electives, including options such as Renewable Resources and Mixed Energy in Sustainable Development and GIS Applications in Environmental Science.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master in Environment at Zayed University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Zayed University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Zayed University as pre-requiste for admission in Master in Environment.

Admission is open to males and females of all nationalities.

• An earned bachelor’s degree in science from an accredited university recognized by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 (or 2.5 for conditional admission) or higher on a 4.0-point scale or equivalent.

• A TOEFL score of 213 CBT, 79 iBT (or 197 CBT, 71 iBT for conditional admission), or
• An IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 6.0 (or 5.5 for conditional admission), or
• Evidence that the applicant is a native speaker of English who has completed his/her undergraduate education in an English medium institution in a country where English is the official language.
