Bachelor of Education External Bed Degree for the 2022 2023 Academic Year

Bachelor of Education External Bed Degree for the 2022 2023 Academic Year is a Bachelor program taught at Makerere University, Uganda. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (three-year) options.

Makerere University invites applications for admission to a three-year Bachelor of Education External (BED) Degree Programme for the academic year mentioned in the call. Applicants study for the Bachelor of Education External (BED) Degree, with entry conditions based on education credentials and prior examination results.

Admission is based on meeting the stated education diploma requirement and specified UCE and UACE passes. The call also sets application steps, including submitting a certified diploma academic transcript and a copy of a birth certificate, and paying a non-refundable application fee before submitting a system-generated application form.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Education External Bed Degree for the 2022 2023 Academic Year at Makerere University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Makerere University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Makerere University as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Education External Bed Degree for the 2022 2023 Academic Year.

• Each applicant should hold at least a Credit or Second Class Diploma in Education from a recognized institution, plus UCE with at least 5 passes or its equivalent and uace with at least one principal pass and two subsidiary passes of the relevant principal subjects or its equivalent.
• Candidates whose “O” and “A” Level results are of grades “Y”, “Z”, “7” and “9” should not apply because they are not eligible for admission.
• Candidates who hold 3rd class or pass diplomas need not apply.
• A certified copy of Diploma academic transcript from the awarding institution must be attached to the application form.
• Each applicant should also attach a copy of her/his birth certificate to the application form.
• NB: Candidates will be responsible for verification of their academic documents from the awarding institutions after admission.
