Bachelor of Computer Science

Bachelor of Computer Science is a Bachelor program taught at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 Years) options.

The Bachelor of Computer Science at Mbarara University of Science and Technology is a three-year degree in the Faculty of Computing and Informatics. It provides a foundation in Computer Science theory and programming practice, with preparation for further advanced study in Computer Science and related fields.

The degree runs with each year split into two semesters. The programme focuses on computing and mathematical theoretical concepts, the application of those concepts to computer solutions, and proficiency in system design notations and a system design engineering process to develop software systems and solve problems in Computer Science.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Computer Science at Mbarara University of Science and Technology for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Mbarara University of Science and Technology as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Computer Science.

Direct Entry

• Two Principal Passes, one of which MUST be in Mathematics and the other in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Economics and/or Entrepreneurship

Diploma Entry

• Diploma in any related field
