Diploma in Education Secondary Science

Diploma in Education Secondary Science is a Diploma program taught at Nkumba University, Uganda. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Diploma in Education (Secondary) – Science at Nkumba University is designed to prepare science teachers for secondary education. Students study core professional course units and choose two electives based on their intended area of specialisation.

The programme structure is presented through its course modules. It is built around professional training units, supported by two elective course units selected for the student’s specialisation area.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Education Secondary Science at Nkumba University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Nkumba University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Nkumba University as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Education Secondary Science.

• A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
• Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (UACE) with at least one Principal Pass, and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
• A certificate obtained after 2 years of post UCE study from a recognized institution.
• Any equivalent Certificate besides UCE and UACE from a recognized institution.
