Introduction

Economics is a Bachelor program taught at Bath Spa University, UK. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Bath Spa University’s Economics degree is a BA (Hons) single honours program that introduces the core principles of economic thinking. You study how individuals, businesses, governments, and nations allocate scarce resources, and you apply economic ideas to contemporary issues. The course also explores how economic ideas interact with politics, law, business, and social change, using a range of global perspectives.

Teaching includes lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and computer-lab sessions, with guest lectures, research workshops, one-to-one tutorials, and field trips arranged across modules. Assessment uses creative, portfolio-style options such as digital reports, policy briefs, website creation, data analysis projects, short form videos, evaluative conversations, live debates, and podcast interviews. You investigate real-world topics and can choose research topics, project formats, and areas of special interest, including options for professional or shorter work placements and a summer placement.
