Master of Spin
Introduction
Master of Spin is a Masters program taught at London School of Jewish Studies, UK. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Korach: The Master of Spin is a learning programme focused on the story of Korach’s rebellion in the desert and the use of “spin” to influence people. It uses the Midrash on Tehillim to describe Korach’s oratory and his emotional portrayal of a poor widow with two young children, and it discusses how this argument avoids objective truth.
The programme explains how Moshe responds by stating the objective truth and highlights leadership as service. It also brings in commentary by Dr. Nechama Leibowitz and notes from Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch on what leadership in Judaism involves.
