Introduction

Management PhD is a PhD program taught at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, UK. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years full time) options.

Royal Holloway and Bedford New College offers a Management PhD. Students conduct research through Royal Holloway’s specialist themes and subject groups, working within the Business School’s research centres including CHRONOS, DOS, and CRIS, with some students using mixed or quantitative methods. The upgrade process includes research methods training.

Full-time students take an annual review and also a semi-annual review (SAR) every year, with both reviews used to reflect on progress and set goals for the coming six to twelve months. Students are required to attend and pass Philosophy of Methods, Qualitative Research Methods for Doctoral Students, and Quantitative Research Methods for Doctoral Students as part of the upgrade process.

Graduating PhD students have gone on to junior academic positions and mid-level academic positions such as Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, and some have been appointed to high-level professorial positions at the institutions listed under “Your future career”.
