Medicine, MB and BChir is a Bachelor program taught at University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Medicine, MB and BChir at the University of Cambridge is a course that combines medical science with clinical practice. Students study scientific principles underlying medicine alongside a clinical strand, then apply that knowledge as a clinical student. Teaching includes lectures, practical classes with dissections, and small-group supervisions, then learning in clinical settings at patients’ bedsides, outpatient clinics, and GP doctor surgeries.
The course is split into two parts. Teaching is delivered on the wards and in general practice, with additional opportunities at general and specialist outpatient clinics. Some course delivery takes place in regional hospitals or practices. Students also have opportunities to pursue research and project work throughout the course, and clinical placements begin from Year 4 of the course.
