MSC Model Based Drug Development Pharmacokinetic
Introduction
MSC Model Based Drug Development Pharmacokinetic is a Masters program taught at University of Manchester, UK. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (12 months (FT, full-time); 29 months (PT, part-time distance) options.
The University of Manchester MSc Model-based Drug Development - Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Modelling focuses on modelling and simulation skills in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Students qualify as mathematical modellers with key skills in computational approaches and apply modelling and simulation skills to real pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data.
The course uses workshop sessions that reinforce learning through application to real-world data. Full-time study is in person, and part-time study is by distance learning. The course has no laboratory or animal-based components and does not involve bioinformatics or molecular modelling.
This MSc is designed for science, engineering or mathematics graduates who want specialist knowledge and skills for a career linked to drug development and the pharmaceutical industry, with emphasis on mechanistic approaches such as physiologically-based pharmacokinetics (PBPK).
