Introduction

MSC Real Estate Development is a Masters program taught at University of Manchester, UK. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1 year) options.

The University of Manchester’s MSc Real Estate Development is an RICS-accredited master’s that builds in-depth knowledge of real estate from investor, developer, occupier, and society perspectives. You also work on Ethical Grand Challenges and complete interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

The course runs for 1 year full-time in person. The Manchester Living Lab approach puts theory into practice through work with an external organisation on real-world sustainability problems. Manchester also notes a professional placement module experience in student feedback, and it reports that the programme has normally included an optional residential field trip with a student contribution toward its cost depending on location.

Roisin (MSc Real Estate Development alum) reports that a professional placement module supported work that led to a graduate placement with JLL in Ireland, where she trains as a commercial surveyor.
