Introduction

MSC Nature Recovery Restoration is a Masters program taught at University of Manchester, UK. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (12 months (full-time), 24 months (part-time)) options.

The MSc Nature Recovery, Restoration and Rewilding at the University of Manchester equips students with knowledge, skills, and global best practices to address the biodiversity crisis. The course covers nature recovery, restoration, and rewilding, and the broader benefits, including tackling the climate crisis and improving human health and wellbeing.

Teaching combines highly interdisciplinary learning across social and ecological systems with optional modules from across the University for specialisation. Students learn through small class learning and field work, developing understanding and practical skills related to nature recovery and a toolbox of knowledge and techniques applied in sectors linked to biodiversity declines such as agriculture and urban development.

The University of Manchester positions the programme as a solutions-oriented degree with a positive outlook for conserving and enhancing biodiversity. Students study in Manchester and are able to take part in field work as part of the course delivery.
