Introduction
Media and English Literature BA (Hons) is a Bachelor program taught at York St. John University, UK. Intake: September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 years full time) options.
York St John University’s Media and English Literature BA (Hons) is a joint honours degree that combines Literature and the wider field of Media. Students read different styles, genres, and voices in literature while engaging with media such as film and television, advertising, and digital media. The course examines how texts and media impact on, and are impacted by, the world, including their relevance to political, social, and historical contexts.
The programme runs as 3 years full time. The academic year is split into 2 semesters, and module load depends on whether students study full time or part time. In each semester, students must study at least 1 module from each subject.
Students take compulsory modules and optional modules where they receive enough interest, and they may join activities such as writing, publishing, and promotion for Neutral magazine, talks and workshops at the annual York Literature Festival, and field trips around the city.
