Interior Architecture MA

The Interior Architecture & Design MA is a thirty-six (36) unit Master of Arts program that prepares students for professional practice. The curriculum covers programming, design analysis, human social and spatial interaction, space planning, use of color and materials, preparation of construction documents and specifications, site observation, and professional business practices. It also includes current methods of interior construction, building systems and components, codes and regulations, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment.

Students take major coursework through studios and technical classes. Major classes include Studio 1, Fundamentals of Design Documentation, Building Systems and Codes, Sketching and Perspective for Interior Environments, Lighting Design, Digital Imaging, Studio 2, BIM - Building Information Modeling, Material Use, and Studio 3.

The program is available online and on campus. Degree requirements include successful completion of the Final Portfolio Review, a minimum grade of C in all required 36 units, and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA plus required Academic Study courses.
