Bachelor of Science in Imaging Science Cardiovascular Sonography Concentration

The Bachelor of Science in Imaging Science – Cardiovascular Sonography Concentration is a 2+2 degree completion program for graduates of Diagnostic Medical Sonography associate programs. It prepares students for careers in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound while meeting educational requirements for professional certification through ARDMS or CCI.

Students complete coursework and clinical experiences in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, echocardiography principles, vascular sonography, hemodynamics, pathology, and advanced ultrasound applications. The plan of study includes semester courses in echocardiography, vascular sonography, scan labs, clinical practicum, seminars, a capstone, and classes in imaging and health-related topics.
