Associate in Arts
Introduction
Associate in Arts is a Diploma program taught at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Associate in Arts (AA) at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) lets students complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. It prepares students to transfer for continued education in studies such as Elementary Education, Psychology, and Social Work.
BCTC students can pursue the AA with a selected Focus Area within a specific field of study. Focus Areas are a concentration of related courses, not a major or a minor. Students may also choose a general pre-baccalaureate option for a wider choice of courses.
Examples of Focus Areas include African American Studies, Pre-Business, Video Game Design, and Women’s Studies. The African American Studies and Pre-Business options include required courses plus elective course choices, while Video Game Design and Women’s Studies use their own listed course sets.
