Concurrent Enrollment
Introduction
Concurrent Enrollment is a program taught at Butte College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Concurrent Enrollment at Butte College lets students take college classes while they are still in high school. It can help students earn college credit early and explore subjects they are interested in. Enrollment and service fees are waived, although students may still need to pay for textbooks or other course materials.
Students can take Butte College classes online or at a Butte College campus. To enroll, students complete the Butte College online application and then submit a Consent Form and a Concurrent Enrollment Pre-Registration Form each semester. The pre-registration is reviewed by a school counselor, and once approved, the School Relations Team processes it within 3-5 business days. After approval, students register for the approved courses.
Concurrent Enrollment is open to California residents who are enrolled in high school or attending an adult education program. In some cases, middle school students may also be eligible. Consent Form signatures are required for first-time Concurrent Enrollment students, including signatures from the student, a parent or guardian, and the school principal or counselor or education manager.
