Bachelor's in Physics
Introduction
Physics is a Bachelor program taught at Carnegie Mellon University, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Physics major at Carnegie Mellon University provides a grounding in the principles of physics and the capacity to formulate and solve new problems. Students also gain an appreciation of a range of physical problems of current interest, with a focus on subatomic physics, quantum electronics, cosmology, and biological physics. Within the major, students can choose a track; tracks include Applied Physics, Astrophysics, Biological Physics, Chemical Physics, Computational Physics, and Quantum Physics.
Research is a key part of the undergraduate experience, with year-round opportunities to participate. Physics faculty work across theorists using pencil and paper, large computer resources, and machine learning colleagues on campus. The program includes a Physics minor that starts with an introductory foundation and then uses elective courses to cover areas of modern physics and the concepts and techniques in the discipline.
