Dental Assisting
Introduction
Dental Assisting is a program taught at Carrington College California-Sacramento, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (Certificate in as few as 9-11 months) options.
Carrington College California-Sacramento’s Dental Assisting program prepares students for a hands-on role in patient care, office administration, and laboratory procedures within a dental practice. Students learn to complete dental assisting duties across a broad scope of dental specialties, use infection control and safe practice techniques in clinical settings, and establish radiation health and safety practices for diagnostic images.
The program prepares students to take certification and licensure exams related to their majors. In the State of California, graduates are eligible to sit for the Registered Dental Assisting (RDA) exam offered by the Dental Board of California (DBC) and apply to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). The College does not guarantee exam success or certification or licensure. Students train through clinical lab practice and may participate in an externship experience.
