Bachelor's in Business, Economics, and Society (BESoc)
Introduction
Business, Economics, and Society (BESoc) is a Bachelor program taught at Colorado College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Business, Economics, and Society (BESoc) major is an interdisciplinary program from the Economics and Business Department. It studies human economic behavior by examining business and economics: their nature, sources, and consequences. The major focuses on three relationships: how business and economics relate to society (including corporations and social enterprises), how business affects society through market forces, market failures, and services for society, and how society affects business and the economy, including how social issues shape opportunities and strategies.
The major aims to build knowledge of structures and processes central to democratic society in a global age, and it emphasizes interdisciplinary thinking as part of the college’s liberal arts commitment. It also addresses economic inequality and social injustice, and it reinforces the college’s anti-racism agenda and efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Course structures, labs, projects, and placements are not described here, so null is used for delivery details.
