Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Introduction
Computer Aided Design (CAD) is a program taught at County College of Morris, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
County College of Morris offers Computer Aided Design (CAD) training focused on AutoCAD 2D drawing and SolidWorks 3D solid modeling. Students work through AutoCAD Level 1: Fundamentals and AutoCAD Level 2: Beyond Fundamentals, covering tools for creating, editing, annotating, and printing drawings, plus advanced features such as Dynamic Blocks, external references, and working with the Sheet Set Manager. The program also includes SolidWorks Solid Modeling CAD, where students learn 2D sketching and progress into intermediate and advanced 3D modeling techniques.
Learning is delivered through hands-on experience using supervised CAD labs and real-world drawing examples and exercises. AutoCAD Level 1 runs in an on-campus Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Center location, and AutoCAD Level 2 includes an on-campus lab component as well. SolidWorks training includes in-class and at-home use of the SolidWorks CAD software.
