Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts is a program taught at County College of Morris, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Certificate of Achievement in Culinary Arts at County College of Morris focuses on food preparation and related food management skills. Students complete a 10-credit curriculum with required courses in Introduction to Food, Food Management, and Serv-Safe Food Handling. The program also supports entry into areas such as Food Production, Introduction to Baking, International Cuisines, and Food Truck Entrepreneur through an internship option or focused coursework.

Training is supported by culinary learning spaces, including a Teaching Kitchen and Dining Room with individual work stations for each pair of students. The program also includes a Baking Kitchen learning lab equipped with items listed on the program page, such as Combi-ovens, a rotating bread oven, a 14-foot dough sheeter, globe mixers, and Vulcan stoves.

On completion, the certificate opens career opportunities in Catering Services, Food Science, Food Styling, Pastry Making, Professional Baking, and Professional Cooking. The certificate can also serve as an entry into the associate degree program in Culinary Arts and Science at CCM.
