Introduction

Biology is a program taught at Covenant College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Biology program at Covenant College integrates faith with scientific inquiry. Students explore a range of biological disciplines, including genetics and physiology, as well as ecology and immunology. The curriculum encourages students to develop a perspective for interpreting the scientific world through a broader Christian theological framework, and it includes ethical implications of scientific advancements in biology.

Hands-on work is a core part of the program. Students participate in laboratory and field activities connected with classes and in research studies in collaboration with faculty. Facilities include lab bench equipment and field research equipment. Students also take part in the scientific process through experiments and data analysis, and they complete a required practicum experience to explore possible vocations.

Biology majors choose a concentration to specialize their course content: Cellular and Molecular, Organismal, or Ecological. Each concentration includes a standard set of courses in general biology and chemistry plus specialized content knowledge for students’ intended vocational paths.
