High School Diploma/ Equivalency

High School Diploma/ Equivalency is a Diploma program taught at Durham Technical Community College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

This program helps you earn a high school credential through two pathways: Gateway to College/Adult High School and High School Equivalency (HSE). Gateway to College/Adult High School lets you complete your high school diploma at your own pace with personalized support to earn your credits. The High School Equivalency path focuses on passing the GED® or HiSET® exams to earn an HSE diploma, with free testing for Durham and Orange counties.

Classes are free, with no cost associated with the College and Career Readiness program. Learning is flexible: you can take convenient online classes supplemented with in-person sessions for specific subjects. Your start is determined through a brief orientation and placement tests, with returning students able to refresh skills through placement re-testing. Dedicated instructors and academic advisors provide support through personalized guidance and required active participation.

The minimum requirements for admission in High School Diploma/ Equivalency at Durham Technical Community College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Durham Technical Community College as pre-requiste for admission in High School Diploma/ Equivalency.
