Introduction

The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) prepares students for Registered Nurse preparation and focuses on safe and effective patient care. The curriculum covers nursing fundamentals, clinical skills, health assessment, and direct client care across multiple healthcare settings. It includes nursing topics such as nursing concepts, pharmacology, pathophysiology, mental health nursing, maternal newborn nursing, parent child nursing, medical-surgical nursing, acute care nursing, and professional nursing dimensions.

Training is delivered on campus through a year-round accelerated program. Students complete the degree in an 18-month associate’s degree with 71 total credits, with program requirements described as a minimum of 5 semesters, 18 months, or 75 weeks of instruction. The program includes a 1 on 1 preceptorship integrated into the program and prepares graduates to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
