Bachelor's in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a Bachelor program taught at ECPI University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (21 Month Associate's Degree) options.

The Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography at ECPI University is designed to prepare students for entry-level roles as general sonographers. Students combine classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experiences. The curriculum includes sonographic techniques and procedures such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular imaging, along with patient care, equipment operation, and safety standards in healthcare environments.

Students complete 80 total credits and earn the degree in as little as 21 months through a year-round accelerated schedule. The program includes 30 weeks of clinical training. Core coursework covers Essentials of Sonography and Patient Care, ultrasound physics and instrumentation, sectional anatomy, abdominal sonography, advanced obstetric sonography, and vascular I and II. The program also requires clinical education courses and arts and sciences courses.
