It also includes training in epidemiology and biostatistics, along with professional development workshops.

Students complete 50.5 credits to graduate and work toward completion through an academic plan that can be finished in 8 academic terms. In addition to coursework, students complete a final Integrative Activity using newly acquired knowledge and skills. The activity includes a final paper that describes the methodology used and the final assessment, applied to real-world public health and healthcare questions.

The program is interdisciplinary, with faculty at the Bloomberg School of Public Health contributing via course development, teaching, and advising. Students can complete the degree program in as little as two years but may be allowed up to four years.
