Entrepreneurship and Management
Introduction
Entrepreneurship and Management is a Bachelor program taught at Elms College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Entrepreneurship degree at Elms College combines business fundamentals with Lean Startup methodology. Students study topics such as Accounting, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Operations Management, Legal Environment of Business, Financial Management, Managerial Communications, and Business Strategy. They also focus on entrepreneurial thinking, including researching business trends, developing new ideas and services, running focus groups, gathering customer feedback, and adapting a business model.
Learning happens through classroom study and practical work to bring ideas to market. Students learn a systematic process using Lean Startup to react to customer demands. The program also builds pitching and networking skills through internships and interactions with industry experts and guest speakers. Students create an elevator pitch for their startup and complete an entrepreneurial internship as an experiential capstone.
