Environmental Studies Minor
Introduction
Environmental Studies Minor is a program taught at Fresno Pacific University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Environmental Studies Minor at Fresno Pacific University teaches students to deepen their understanding of environmental problems and solutions. Students use insights from theology, philosophy, and the social and natural sciences to explore the natural world and the place of humanity within it. The minor is intended for students who want to strengthen personal environmental stewardship and pursue vocations connected to environmental concerns.
The minor includes required courses totaling 20 units. Required work covers ecology (lecture and lab), an introduction to environmental science plus an environmental field study lab, and an environmental studies practicum. It also includes Nature, Law and Policy and Theological Ethics and the Environment. Courses are offered at the Main Campus Fresno.
The program is organized for students who want an interdisciplinary minor that combines science study with policy and ethics coursework, supported by lab and practicum experiences.
