Bioinformatics (B.S.)
Introduction
Bioinformatics (B.S.) is a Bachelor program taught at Gannon University, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 Years) options.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Bioinformatics at Merrimack College blends biology, computer science, and statistics. Students explore genetics and molecular biology alongside programming and statistics, and use computational tools to analyze biological data such as DNA, RNA, and protein sequences.
Instruction is on campus with a guaranteed co-op/internship. The curriculum includes hands-on courses and a culminating capstone where students integrate biological knowledge with computational and statistical methods to design and complete an independent bioinformatics project, including professional communication through research reports and presentations.
