Chemistry (B.S.)
Introduction
Chemistry (B.S.) is a Bachelor program taught at Gannon University, USA. Intake: FallSpring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 Years) options.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry is a major for students who want to study the basics of chemistry and lab skills. The program covers general chemistry, organic chemistry, equilibrium and reactivity, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biophysical chemistry, quantum chemistry and spectroscopy, cellular biochemistry, calculus, and physics. Students also work on research projects connected to topics such as trace antibiotics in natural water and microwave methods for organic synthesis.
Study mode is on campus, and the program is supported by experiences that can include guaranteed internships, co-ops, service learning, or faculty-led research projects. Course examples include Equilibrium and Reactivity, analytical chemistry, and biophysical chemistry, each with lab components or laboratory-connected topics. Students can also choose a pre-PharmD concentration with essential science coursework for pharmacy school.
