Clinical Exercise Science (B.S.)

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Clinical Exercise Science prepares students for healthcare, rehabilitation, and human performance careers. Students study exercise physiology, biomechanics, therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation, along with skills for exercise testing and prescription, data analysis, and patient care. Concentrations include Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Exercise Science.
Learning combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience and faculty-mentored research. Students apply classroom learning to research in the Human Performance Lab within the Center for Health Advancement, Movement and Performance (CHAMP) and across campus. The program includes laboratory experiences and internships, co-op, fieldwork, or practicum, and uses technologies such as the BodPod, Cybex Isokinetic Dynamometer, and Open Cap for AI-driven biomechanical analysis.
