4PLUS Art Therapy/Counseling Program
Introduction
4PLUS Art Therapy/Counseling Program is a program taught at Hood College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (five-year, dual degree (B.A./M.S.)) options.
The 4PLUS Art Therapy/Counseling Program at Hood College is a five-year dual degree (B.A./M.S.) for art therapy majors. Students accelerate completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy and a Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in either clinical mental health counseling or school counseling.
The program is delivered as a condensed dual-degree structure. Students are expected to take courses over the summer and/or during January term, and they plan their coursework with a faculty adviser during their first semester at the College. Admission to the M.S. in counseling is not automatic, and dual-degree students apply to the counseling program for admission.
This program is designed for students who plan to use art therapy as part of their future counseling practice. It is not appropriate for students who solely wish to practice as art therapists.
