Introduction

4PLUS Psychology (B.A.)/Counseling (M.S.) Program is a program taught at Hood College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The 4PLUS Psychology (B.A.)/Counseling (M.S.) Program at Hood College is a dual-degree (B.A./M.S.) offered by the Department of Psychology and Counseling. Students accelerate completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in either clinical mental health counseling or school counseling.

The program expects students to take courses over the summer and/or during the January term to speed up degree completion. Students plan their coursework with a faculty adviser during their first semester. Admission to the M.S. in counseling program is not automatic; 4PLUS students apply to the counseling program and interview for admission.

Transfer students may be admitted into the accelerated program, but they may not be able to complete both degrees as quickly as non-transfer students. Undergraduate students are encouraged to meet with counseling faculty and pursue complementary experiences such as relevant internships and entry-level employment to support their counseling application.
