Introduction

Political Science (B.A.) is a Bachelor program taught at Hood College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Political Science (B.A.) at Hood College uses a liberal arts foundation to study decision making at various levels of government, public policy formation, and the correlation between political and economic problems. Students learn through four course areas: U.S. politics and policy, comparative politics and international relations, law, and political theory. The major includes two tracks: American politics and global politics, with encouragement to take courses across a range of subjects.

Learning includes research and writing, plus exposure to the practical world of politics through internships and field-based learning. Hood connects students with internship opportunities through local, state, and federal government agencies, and students may participate in the Washington Semester Program with American University, including an extensive internship program during junior or senior year.
