Introduction

Art is a Bachelor program taught at Humboldt State University, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Art, B.A. at Humboldt State University lets students study art through a range of department areas, including Art Education, Art Studio, Ceramics, Digital Arts + Graphic Design, Drawing and Painting, Jewelry & Small Metals, and Photography. In Art Education, students develop tools to teach art in K-12 schools, higher ed, museums and galleries, and community settings. In Art Studio, students complete studio courses that teach processes and strategies for creating works in various media.

Instruction is delivered through hands-on techniques in small, intimate classrooms, studios, and galleries. Art Studio courses use problem solving assignments and accompanying instruction, with an upper-division option to concentrate in a studio area and prepare a portfolio for further professional opportunities or postgraduate study.

Students access dedicated facilities, including a ceramics facility with two kiln rooms and a digital program with extended computer lab access, Mac computers, and an Adobe CC license. Painting studio facilities are open from 7:00 am until midnight, seven days a week.
