Botany, B.S. is a Bachelor program taught at Humboldt State University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Botany, B.S. program in the Department of Biological Sciences trains students to understand biological processes unique to plant life. Students work with vascular plants, bryophytes, lichens, fungi, and algae at the organismal level, building hands-on experience with the materials and methods used in botany.
Learning uses specialized equipment, natural collections, laboratory facilities, and ecologically diverse field sites. First-year students take part in Among Giants, a place-based learning community that includes studying animals, identifying ferns, and examining soil.
