Elementary Education (Liberal Studies, B.A.) is a Bachelor program taught at Humboldt State University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Elementary Education (Liberal Studies, B.A.) at Cal Poly Humboldt prepares you for an undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies Elementary Education, or for Liberal Studies Elementary Education with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. The program includes two concentrations. One option supports students who want a bachelor’s degree only or who have not met Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) credential admission requirements. The other option combines a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Preliminary Elementary Education Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential.
Classroom immersion in local K-12 schools is a hallmark of the program, and you apply what you learn in classroom settings. The program also emphasizes social responsibility, with attention to equity and social justice for students from a range of backgrounds, needs, and abilities. You start and end the program with the same group of students, building community within your LSEE cohort. Faculty-led teaching and mentoring support the experience.
