Introduction

The Business - Business Management Concentration at Jackson State Community College is an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) designed for students seeking entry-level supervisory careers in retail, service, and manufacturing. The program builds knowledge and skills in accounting, computers, marketing, communication, management, supervision, and economics. It is intended for students who start an entry-level supervisory career and do not plan to attend a university.
Coursework is organized across Fall and Spring semesters, including classes such as Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, English Composition I, Computer Applications, Business Communications, Spreadsheet Applications, and Fundamentals of Communication. The program includes hands-on learning experiences and offers transfer-ready coursework. A Management concentration is available in an evening option in an accelerated method.
