Sustainable Product Design & Innovation is an interdisciplinary major at the intersection of engineering, industrial design, and manufacturing. Students learn by doing through project-based courses that start in their first year. The program focuses on designing and manufacturing products that are functional and beautiful, while also being cost-efficient, environmentally sound, and socially responsible.
Students choose one option. The Product Design option covers design thinking, sketching, 3D modeling, and prototyping, and includes making and testing products in full-accessible workshops. The Manufacturing Engineering option adds advanced manufacturing topics, including materials, processes, and technologies, with hands-on experience in workshops and labs. The General Engineering option centers on the Product Design core and builds engineering foundations with creative options.
