Introduction

Biomedical Engineering Major is a Bachelor program taught at Las Positas College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (five-year, dual-degree program) options.

The Biomedical Engineering Major is a five-year, dual-degree program combining engineering, biology, and medicine. Students complete introductory biomedical engineering courses with foundational math and science in the first two years, then expand engineering expertise and strengthen biomedical engineering and physical sciences in the third and fourth years.

The fifth year culminates in a hands-on project with an interdisciplinary team. Students collaborate on a real-world engineering project from start to finish. The program is on campus and leads to a Bachelor of Science degree, with students choosing one engineering focus area: Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, to earn degrees in both Biomedical Engineering and the chosen engineering area.
