The Associate in Arts in Kinesiology for Transfer at Lassen Community College is designed to build a foundation in the human body and body mechanics for transfer to a California State University. Students study kinesiology through courses that introduce the field, develop basic elements of scientific inquiry, and support identification of an area of specialization. The kinesiology program also supports preparation for baccalaureate study in Kinesiology, Physical Education, and Sports Administration.

Course delivery includes laboratory opportunities, small class sizes, and individualized tutoring. The program also includes fitness coursework and intercollegiate athletics through Lassen College sports teams, including men’s baseball, basketball, soccer, and wrestling, and women’s basketball, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Students also have options such as fitness courses and activities like the Fitness Center and Yoga.
