Advanced ESL

Advanced ESL is a program taught at Los Angeles Southwest College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Advanced ESL at Los Angeles Southwest College connects language study with preparation for construction career pathways. Students complete a Building & Construction Trades Certificate of Completion by taking VOC ED 252CE Exploration of Construction & Maintenance Careers and then choosing one additional course: VOC ED 096CE Blueprints for Workplace Success or ESL NC 012CE Vocational ESL II. The program is approved under state approval code #37822.

Course work is organised as one required course plus one elective course selected from the options listed for the certificate. The program also references the HireLAX program, described as an eight-week program developed through collaboration with Los Angeles World Airports and Parsons Corporation, focused on skills needed for construction builds and a position at Los Angeles International Airport after completing the certificate program.
