Business Economics (BS)
Introduction
Business Economics (BS) is a Bachelor program taught at Louisiana Tech University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Business Economics (BS) at Louisiana Tech University combines economics with business concepts to prepare students for careers in business, banking, and public policy. Students study economic theory alongside applied topics such as financial analysis, forecasting, research, and pricing strategy. The program is designed to build quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills, and it can also support students planning graduate study in public administration, business administration, or law.
Students gain hands-on research experience by developing and presenting original work at the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank and the College of Business’ annual Research Forum. They also collaborate with faculty to produce the Regional Economic Analysis of Louisiana (REAL) Report, a quarterly publication built in part using work from the Regional Economic Analysis course (ECON 425), with experience in economic modeling, data science, and statistical analysis.
