Students gain hands-on experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, and research, including work through career-building internships, real-time simulations, and managing real-world portfolios.

Learning includes access to Ray’s Financial Trading Room, a high-tech learning lab that replicates a trading floor. Students use professional financial software, market data feeds, and a live ticker board to analyze stock performance and execute simulated trades. The Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) is a real-world investment portfolio of $1 million, with students responsible for research, portfolio decisions, and reporting under oversight from an advisory board of industry professionals.

The minimum requirements for admission in Finance (BS) at Louisiana Tech University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Louisiana Tech University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Louisiana Tech University as pre-requiste for admission in Finance (BS).
