Bachelor's in Chemistry

Chemistry is a Bachelor program taught at Meredith College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Chemistry major at Meredith College prepares students for professional goals that may include graduate school, careers in the chemical industry, teaching, or professional programs in a health-related field. Students study chemistry in ways that connect scientific concepts to real-life experiences, support the development of solutions to fundamental chemical problems, and include knowledge of laboratory safety practices and chemical hygiene procedures. Chemistry majors may also participate in the Dual Degree Engineering Program.

Students can earn either a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.). The B.A. degree includes 46-49 credit hours with 37-40 credit hours of core courses and 9 credit hours of elective courses. The B.S. degree includes 62-66 credit hours with 50-52 credit hours of core courses and 12-14 credit hours of elective courses. Meredith also offers teaching licensure options for students earning a chemistry degree.

The minimum requirements for admission in Chemistry at Meredith College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Meredith College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Meredith College as pre-requiste for admission in Chemistry.
