Introduction
Psychology is a Bachelor program taught at Meredith College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Psychology major at Meredith College prepares students for careers that help others through internships and practicum experiences, in-depth research opportunities, and faculty mentors. The curriculum supports a knowledge base in psychology, skills in scientific inquiry and critical thinking, ethical and social responsibility, and written and oral communication. Students complete applied learning through internships outside campus, plus the on-campus Meredith Autism Program (MAP) and autism-related classroom work. Students can also present research at professional conferences including the Association for Psychological Science (APS), American Psychological Association (APA), National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), and North Carolina Psychological Association (NCPA). Internship placements can range from introductory settings to intensive placements completed over two or more semesters.
Graduates use their research and practical skills for graduate study and a range of professional roles. Students can also pursue certification as a Registered Behavior Technician, and they may qualify through progressing through all three MAP course levels.
