Bachelor's in Musical Theatre Concentration

Musical Theatre Concentration is a Bachelor program taught at Meredith College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Meredith College offers a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a Concentration in Musical Theatre. Students complete a Theatre Core Curriculum that includes Performance Practica, Production Practica, and Front of House Practica, along with Stage Management, Introduction to Theatre, Acting I, Stagecraft, History of Theatre (Classic-Romance and Modern-Contemporary), and Audition and Interview. The concentration also includes Musical Theatre in Performance, Project: Area of Specialization, Voice and Articulation, Acting II, and Directing.

The course adds musical training through Beginning Class Piano, Fundamentals of Music I and II, Elementary Theory & Composition, and Elementary Ear-Training, plus Applied Voice with Preparatory Voice and Voice. Dance training covers Dance Technique across Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap, using Tap I–IV, Ballet I–IV, Modern I–IV, and Jazz I–IV. Students also take Theatre Lab and Production- and performance-related practica options.
