Introduction

MSU Denver’s Electrical Engineering Major, B.S. qualifies graduates to research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. The program provides a foundation in sciences, mathematics, electric circuits, and devices, and includes circuit analysis, electronics, digital logic, computers, software, communications, and control systems.

MSU Denver’s curriculum includes mathematical and engineering sciences, analytical, experimental, and design methodologies, computer-integrated design experience, and substantial experience in its Electrical Engineering laboratories. Instruction combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, with opportunities tied to facilities in the Aerospace and Engineering Sciences Building and hands-on laboratory experience.

The degree prepares graduates for immediate employment in the electrical and electronics industry or for a master’s degree in the field. Some positions require a Professional Engineer license, and the program prepares students for the first step of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
