Diploma in Advanced Practice Esthiology

Advanced Practice Esthiology is a Diploma program taught at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

Advanced Practice Esthiology at Minnesota State Community and Technical College is a hands-on certificate program for licensed estheticians and cosmetologists who want to provide more complex skincare services and procedures than standard facials, waxing, and body treatments. It builds knowledge and skills for advanced practice esthiology, including dermaplaning, skin needling, advanced extractions, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and electrical energy treatments.

The program combines classroom-based learning with a hands-on salon practicum. You complete mock tests and prepare paperwork for state exams, including the general theory exam, written practical exam, and a Minnesota laws and rules exam issued by the Minnesota State Board of Cosmetology. It also covers ethical and professional behaviors, salon human relations skills, sanitation and safety procedures, referrals for disorders and diseases that should be seen by a physician, and chemical formulas for accurate product knowledge.

The minimum requirements for admission in Advanced Practice Esthiology at Minnesota State Community and Technical College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Minnesota State Community and Technical College as pre-requiste for admission in Advanced Practice Esthiology.
