Introduction

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a program taught at Montana Tech, USA. Intake: October. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at Montana Tech provides basic information and skills to provide care to residents/patients in assisted living/long-term care facilities and acute care settings. Completing the CNA course makes students eligible to apply for certification through the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services after completing the Certified Nurse Assistant graduation requirements. Completion of Nursing Fundamentals I qualifies the student to take the Montana Headmasters exam for certified nursing assistance status.

The program uses a flexible hybrid format. Students complete online coursework, attend an intensive 2-day weekend skills lab, and complete 25 hours of clinical practicum. Training also includes skills day, clinicals, and the Montana State License Exam. The program is provided by Highlands College of Montana Technological University and is approved by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services under its Nurse Aide Registry office.
